Delta links are the rear suspension bushings in the trailing arms. If you have relatively new ones,

Oh how I wish I had the proper tools and time to complete repairs myself. I had a BMW an i did quite a bit of the PM on it, so I am sure this should be similar in terms of level of difficulty. i just don;t have the proper space or time for it. I hate taking my car into a shop because 1. I am afraid of being ripped off and 2. I want to feel that personified bond with this car..the feeling you get after doing a major job by yourself on the car and you take it for a spin...love the feeling!

Don't believe so. The car was extremely cared for. Just the few minor issues that I am being extremely anal about.

Ok guys so I took my car in to a reputable Volvo shop in my area for the issue concerning the brakes and the mechanic that rode with me was absolutely shocked. He says out of 30 years working on Volvos this was the first time he has heard anything like this at all. No brake pedal pulsation, no steering wheel shimmy, just a very harsh resonance through the cabin coming from the rear of the car. I have scheduled an appointment for Friday morning to have a full and proper diagnosis on the issue, but based on him driving the car and looking at the brake condition into the wheels, he looked quite confused. This only scares me because for a Volvo Tech of 30 years to be clueless about an issue is not really a good sign. I hope it's something that can be fixed.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the rear axle or shaft? This year is the first I have heard or read about it.

Are those symptoms of rear axle problems?
