1998 v70 tdi immobilizer

Post by weyert »

hi
is there a way to by-pass the immobilizer on a v70 tdi? there is no diesel going out the injectors, the pump is closed, i tried an other immo and antenne ring and transponder but doesn't work,
thanks for an answer

On a '98 I don't think so. On the 850's it was easy but in '98 they changed the system and I think it talks to the ECU via a digital pulse train rather than a closure. I don't have schematics for the diesel version of the car though and I could be wrong.

VOL-FCR and a VAG COM cable should allow you to check the immobilizer on a '98 for fault codes. The program and the cable are readily available on eBay and it is typically very inexpensive.

I can't help you with the bypass.

Just wanted to say I'm very glad to see someone here on MVS using Brick-Diag.
Are you using Brick-Diag Free v0.0.6.6?
Or do you somehow have access to Brick-Diag Full?
