The owner's manual (page 94) indicates that there is an accessory connector with up to 20 amp capability under the dash on the driver's side. Haven't poked my head in there yet but let's assume that it is there. I've been trying to track down either a mating plug or mating cable harness so that I can do a clean installation. Does anyone know a part number and/or supplier of a mating plug or cable?
I've looked through other posts to this forum (perhaps not as exhaustively as I should) and have found mention of the accessory connector but nothing about plugs or cables that mate to it.

Finally got around to poking my head in there, and guess what... those good guys at Volvo shipped a mating plug (no pins) already attached to the socket and just waiting to be wired up. The accessory connector plug and socket are 8-pin, yellow. It comes clipped onto the big white multi-socket connection block up high under the dash. My guess is that my local Volvo shop will have plenty of pins.
Yawl have fun making clean installs of accessories.

Spent a huge amount of time trying to track down the pins. No luck.
So I removed the center console and clipped off the two-pin connectors for the front and rear cigarette lighters. I then spliced the wires back together with crimp connectors. The cigarette lighters are still functional and there really is no need for those connectors. I then stripped out two male connectors from each of the two plugs giving me a total of 4 male connectors to use with my power accessory plug. 4 connections is what I need in order to power up my turbo boost gauge: 1) Battery 12V, 2) Ignition Switched 12V, 3) Rheostat lighting and 4) ground.
For the future benefit of others who want to use the accessory power connector, does anyone know where to get the pins? These pins are the same as those used on many of the connectors throughout the car. Seems like a useful thing to know where to get some.

I was able to get replacement contact pins
for the fog light connectors around 7 years back.
They were dealer items that they had no trouble finding.
IIRC, I got them from Darryl Waltrip Volvo during their first
round of mailout business - I think it was Jamie that found them.
( It usually just comes down to how good the folks in parts are... )
I may still have receipts - If I find the PN's, I'll post'em.
