I noticed oil around my ptc grommet today, what is this an indication of ?

That would indicate that it has been awhile since it was cleaned off. I.e. totally normal, there are oily crankcase fumes passing through there, you can expect a little oil seepage. A new grommet would possibly seal more tightly but definitely not worth it IMHO; they are all oily, unless they have been recently cleaned.

Mine are oily every time I look at them but I don't look at them terribly often. I cleaned it up real well on the Platinum about a year ago when I rebuilt the turbo and It was real oily again when I had to repair a broken heater hose about three weeks ago. The car doesn't go through much oil - about a quart every 5 k miles.

Looks like my turbo seals are fried. There's oil build up btw the turbo and intake pipe
