2004 XC90 How To Remove 3Rd Row Seats?

We're trying to replace the shocks on our 2003 XC90 and it looks like we have to remove the 3rd row seats to get to the top nut and bolt on the shocks.

Can anyone give any guidance (pics, links, etc.) or have any resources on how best to do this?

According to my Haynes manual:

"Slide the seat cushion back on the third row of seats and locate the outlined cutting point in the soundproofing.

Cut the flap with a sharp knife and remove the now exposed cover plate.

Using a torx socket and a crow's foot wrench remove the shock absorber upper mounting nut"

+1 No need to remove them, only slide the bottom back.

If you're not aware the third row seats submarine under the luggage area by means of release levers on either side of passenger's feet.
