Believe our cars call for a Type 47 battery w/ 600 CCA (or a Type 48 w/ 420 CCA which is surprising since the car's turbo and it doesn't make sense dimension-wise). Optima doesn't produce a Type 47 or Type 48, BUT
I measure my battery (w/o posts) at
10 3/4 Wide by 6 3/4 Deep by 7 1/2 Tall
Their spec on their model 34 INCLUDES POSTS at
10.0" Wide by 6.8" Deep by 7.8" Tall and 800 CCA
Their spec on their model 75/35 INCLUDES POSTS at
9.4" Wide by 6.8" Deep by 7.6" Tall and 720 CCA
(This one has 2 sets of posts - top + side)
Try before you buy. The bottom clamping mechanism is very special and will only work with the right battery. It takes either of 2 lengths. Have a look at the little plastic clip on the tray, toward the center of the car. It rotates off and on and locks the battery in the base.
If you want Plug and Play go with the Interstate MT-47.
Pops right in and uses existing clamp. Die Hard from Sears is also suppose to be good but lately I haven't heard such good things about them- maybe they changed vendors??
