Good afternoon all.
So last week I installed front Koni adjustable strut assemblies. Damn my car feels such much better! I do need to replace my front IPD sway bar bushings. Night and day in terms of suspension feel. Currently running 18in oem wheels so I'm still trying to find the perfect setting.
So I'm considering lowering springs for my vr but Im undecided on what to get and how the lowering springs will effect driving around the city with such bad potholes here in Chicago. The potholes here will only multiply during the winter season.
Thanks for the responses.

i had Eibachs in chicago and now in pittsburgh, which is comparably cratered. it's a hard ride, but i just do my best to dodge the potholes (in pittsburgh this makes driving very exciting) and the car holds together. i did bend a rim on a pothole last winter, but it's hard to say if that wouldn't have happened without the springs.
it's not without compromise, but i like the look. i'm happy to keep the springs. (a previous owner swapped them in, so i have no basis for comparison to stock.)
your R has slightly different rear suspension from my FWD T5, but you might have a similar experience on sport springs.

also for what it's worth my car still feels pretty heavy around corners. lots of roll and understeer. again i have no basis for comparison to the stock setup, but the lowering springs ain't a silver bullet.
