2006 s40 2.4i oil pan removal/replace

Post by diz2 »

I cracked my oil pan on my 2006 volvo s40 2.4i, i need a star alan key to take off something thats connected to the oil pan to get to some screws and im wondering if there is anything else that i would need to remove to get to any other bolts holding the pan on. It looks like I might need to take off a cannister looking thing thats connected to a pulley with a belt on it to get to 1 or maybe 2 screws but im not sure and wanted to make sure before i do that?

ps
If anyone knows the answer to the question above, do i have to take that bely pulley off completely which would probably remove the belt also or just a few screws to manuever in there to get the rest of the oil pan screws out.
