Back in may i did lots of work on the front end. I put in Sachs shocks and all new gear around them with the exception of the coil springs. I noticed today there is a small gap 1/8" underneath the strut mount caps. I am thinking the coil springs are weak?? Not sure what to do with this at the moment. Greatly appreciate any thoughts on it.

There should be a gap, that is totally normal. Bounce on the front of car you will see the gap open and close.

Thanks for the response. I did try bouncing the front and didn't see any change - maybe i didn't do it hard enough. I just saw the gap and thought it shouldn't be there. I will call this closed - thanks again.
