heated seats controls

Post by dneu »

Hi, I have installed heated seats from my totaled 2004 V70R to another 2004 V70R (which did not have them) with the control panel with switches. The fuses 7,8 were in place, also all wires to the control panel are same, but seats do not work. Is there anything else I have to transfer from the old car?

The heated seats are a factory option requiring a software download at the dealer in order to work. The CEM contains the program which enables them. Also the maximum and minimum temperatures need to be allocated through Vida before they will work even if the software is downloaded.

There is another way however you need a Dice tool and some experience with CEM removal. Also you will need to connect with MVS member doublebug who has written software which enables CEM software manipulation.

I helped a customer install heated seats & power folding mirrors last Thursday with doublebug's help.
