I was looking at my new (used) S80 and notice quite a brake dust coloring on my Front tires. I read/heard that the Rears wear faster...
Any ideas ?
Thanx

With the correct matching pad compounds on front and rear axles the fronts will ALWAYS wear first as they handle 60-80% of the braking force.
Pads can last 4 or 5 times longer on the rear axle with gentle driving.

When you decide to change the pads, you may want to look at Akebono pads; Rear(# EUR795) and Front (# EUR794).
NOTE: These brake pads are Ceramic. The main benefit of using a ceramic pad is that it produces less brake dust compared to a semi-metallic pad without sacrificing braking power.
