'97 850 NA - hear click when hitting brake while idle

This morning when I parked my car, I put the car in P position, car still idling, and every time when I hit the brake I can hear a click coming from mid console.

What can that be?

Sounds like ABS kicking in.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the car. You'll notice that it won't shift out of park if your foot is not on the brake, the shifter will be locked. When you do press the brake, whatever is locking the shifter disengages and you'll be able to shift out of park. I think that the click sound you're hearing is the shift lock disengaging. I noiticed the same sound with my '98 S70. I'll bet you won't hear clicking if you shift into neutral and try pressing the brake.

It is the park safety switch, I figured out.

Hitting the barke in N doesn't make that click.

Learned something new today.
