I am not sure what is causing the issue. I've heard it could be the blower resistor or the ECC unit. Neither is cheap - even used.
Does anyone know how to test to see if it is the blower resistor or the ECC unit that is causing the blower to run continually? If I don't pull the fuse, the blower will run until the battery is completely discharged.
When I pull fuse 5 (30 amp for blower motor) the motor stops. When I reinstall the fuse a few seconds later, it does not start again.

You don't own a P2 series. Yours is a P80. This feature wasn't fitted to this series of carT64me wrote:I don't think this is an "afterblow" software related issue. The car did not do this when I first purchased it. Now it does so I am thinking it must be a resistor, relay or something else.

If you think the ECC unit could somehow be the problem, you could test that by disconnecting it. It pushes right out, easy to remove once you have the radio out. Be careful, there are some sharp edges back in there somewhere, I don't remember exactly where.
100 to 1 it's the resistor!
