my 1998s70 heater won't turn off even when car is shut off. drains the battery as a result.

my 1998s70 heater won't turn off even when car is shut off. drains the battery as a result.
When I turn my car off the blower for the heat continues to run draining the battery. Help!

It's the "blower motor resistor" if the car has MCC, or if the car has ECC it is the "power stage." It will need to be replaced, junk yard is the way to go.
Until you can fix it, pull the fuse to the heater blower motor.

The manual and electronic climate controls work in different ways.
It's pretty important that we know which system your car has.
If you have an AUTO position, a variable fan control and degree
numbers on your two temperature controls, it's electronic (ECC).
If you have no AUTO, a 4 speed fan switch and no temp numbers
on the two hot/cold dials, it's manual (MCC).
Whatcha got? I have a funny feeling it's a MCC and the fan speed
switch is cooked. And the fuse is #31 for both types.
