2002 S60 Vibrations after 10 km's

After 10km the car starts to vibrate when going up an incline. Feels like the wheels are out of balance.
Also when going around a corner. The wheels have been balanced. Mechanic believes it is the automatic gear box. Any suggestions?

Did you rotate wheels to see if it makes a difference? Does it get worse with speed? Sounds more like drive shafts, grease boots okay? Is it on acceleration only, or all the time?
