1996, 850 Turbo, Doors Locks
I started the car this morning and stepped out of the car to clear some ice...the door had shut behind me and I was locked out of the car. Not sure how it happened, but I thought there were things in place to prevent this? Luckily I had a spare set in the house.

I didn't think the door could be locked either. If I remember for an 850 you either had to push the button down and hold the outer handle out, or you had to use a fob or key. Sounds like there may be wear or a problem with the lock mechanism.

I had one that would do that. I found the problem there was a short in the wiring somewhere in the loom where it goes to the drivers side door. I never could find it to fix, I just knew it would do it sometime. I could jiggle those wires and the door would lock so I knew it was somewhere in there.
