1996, 850 Turbo, Fuel Gauge Inop in Cold Weather Only

Post by Rbaratt »

In cold weather my fuel gauge will not register until I have driven several miles and the car is warmed up to operating temperature.

I don't think its the fuel level sensor in the tank, because when I park the car after fill up, the gauge reads full and the next morning the needle will not rise until I the car is warm and toasty. No problem with fuel gauge in the summer, just the winter when the temp is at approximately 32 Degrees F or below.

I guess if I were to move to a warmer climate, I wouldn't' have to worry about it. Any other northerner's encountered this issue?
