intermittent oil warning light, 1994, 940
the oil warning light is going on intermittendly while driving. what could it be and can i drive 7hours home before repair???

The oil light can come on intermittently if the oil level is getting low or the oil is old and now too thin to do a good job of lubricating the engine.
Is there enough oil on the dipstick and how long is it since it was changed?
If you are satisfied that both of these points are OK then the next most likely cause is the oil pressure sensor is starting to go wrong.
As to a 7 hour drive - I would not be prepared to say yes or no without seeing and listening to the engine.
