Hi all, I tried researching this site for a step by step to replace the FRONT transfer case fluid for an 03 V70 Cross country with no luck. I found this post but it doesn't specify yr, front or rear gear: http://volvospeed.com/volvo_repairs_how ... rvice.html
I found the resources to replce the fluids in the rear of the vehicle:

How to change Haldex fluid on AWD P2 Volvos

I would love to add a drain plug to the FRONT transfer case and pics would be very helpful.

Well I answered my own question here. This link will work for changing a the front bevel gear on a 2003 xc70 minus the damper removal...there wasn't one on my car. http://volvospeed.com/volvo_repairs_how ... rvice.html
I would suggest using this: PERFORMANCE TOOL QUART & GALLON FLUID PUMP which was in stock at Northern Tool or you can order it here: http://www.autobarn.net/quart-gallon-fluid-pump.html
I didn't drill the drain yet (I don't have an offset or 90 degree angle drill, or you can use a short profile drill) but my gear was low on fluid.
