My '97 850 with 170hp is pretty fast.It runs just like 1st day i bought it.Bought it almost new back in 2000 with 69k km.
The T5 with the manual is much, much faster. It is also lowered about an inch and it makes a huge difference in the way it handles. I have a tuned ECU for it, but I have not even tried it yet. I want to make sure I can get it passed through inspection first.

The 1998 GLT with the low pressure turbo is a bit quicker feeling in town, but on the highway the T5 blows it away. It also has a 2.4 liter engine from a 2000 V70R which helps.

Yeah after 1st gear it gets after it. It's definitely a fun car and one I have been wanting for a long time. I am glad I found it. The few little problems I am having now are almost expected for a car of its age. I will say that as hour two rolled along last night when I was under the car retapping the bung for the O2 sensor I was seriously considering other options. Glad I got it to work though.

The Evap leak code has disappeared. It went from pending to gone, so maybe it was something simple like the gas cap.

I am excited to see how it runs with a tuned ECU once I make sure everything is buttoned up and ready to go.

Or better yet, the engine from 2000 R that I have:

B5244T2
Output is 265 PS (195 kW; 261 hp) @ 5700 rpm with 350 N·m (258 lb·ft) @ 2400 rpm.

I also have the R interior and door panels. It's going to be a fun car once I get a few more small mods done.

It passed!! Tech said it had readings "like a new car."

Tomorrow the tune and Snabb intake go in and the fun starts!
