2001 v70 anyone ever used a salvaged ECM? can it be done?

2001 v70 anyone ever used a salvaged ECM? can it be done?

Looks increasingly probable that my ECM is causing idle problems ( stalling or redlining -- mechanic has ruled out any other problems)
So I see ECMs on ebay for dirt cheap -- anyone ever tried a swap like this?

Not a plug n play. You can get the ECM and then send your exiting and the JY one to Xemodex and they can move the security info over to the JY one.

eric v70, what is ECM part number?
