Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2004 S80 T6 Multiple electrical codes

Post by speedracer67 »

Bonjour, all. My 04 S80 T6 without warning began having multiple issues, starting with the symptom of it not wanting to shift out park and a service engine system warning. I connected it to Vadis and pulled the below codes. I went away for a few days and noticed that it also is showing a low battery.

BCM-0150 Stop (brake) lamp switch signal outside its permitted range
DDM-0030 Rear view mirror potentiometer faulty signal
CEM-8F21 Windshield wipers signal too low
DDM-0024 Mirror motor MX+ signal too low
DDM-002B Mirror motor MC signal too low
ECM-4050 Fuel level sensor - faulty signal
ECM-9400 Brake pedal sensor - faulty signal
PSM-0033 backrest, motor 2 (M2-) signal missing
BCM-0042 Wheel sensor right rear mechanical error
CEM-8F15 Xenon lamp left faulty signal
CEM-88FA3 Relay horn signal too low
DDM-0032 Rear view mirror potentiometer faulty signal
SUM-0023 Suspension acceleration sensor, front right signal missing
SUM-0244 control module internal fault
UEM-0080 Rain sensor signal missing
AUM-41FF Amplifier sub-antenna signal missing
CEM-1A52 Communication with DDM control module signal missing
REM-4A37 Fuel level sensor signal too high/signal missing

Do you think this could be something as my battery going bad or is this something more ominous?

Might I solicit the wizards of this site to offer their advise? Thank you!

BCM 0150 and BCM 9400 can set due to booster pedal position sensor failing which is common.
SUM 0023 is likely a broken wire to the strut mounted sensor.
SUM 0044 could be from water leak affecting the SUM since it is on floor and is vulnerable to wetted carpet and stopped up a/c drain.
DDM codes all can result from broken wires or corrosion on the A post connector the driver's door.

The whole other list of codes are not unusual to find on that car with no observed issues related to the reported items.
Some of those codes can be in the car for LONG periods of time after service work has been perfored where those items were disturbed for a repair.
