1999 S70 NA Manual trans. ETM replaced?

Post by jonk1086 »

How can you tell if the ETM has been replaced already on a '99 S70 NA with 5 speed manual. It only have 70,000 kms on it (44,000 miles). If it hasn't been done, when should I expect to do it?

If the label on the ETM is yellow, it's a replacement. White label is original.

Worn contacting strips usually occur at between 70 and 150 thousand miles. They also fail from the factor of hours up and running so if you face a lot of traffic it may fail earlier.

A manual NA would be a sweet ride!!
