Hard to say w/out some detail, definitely needs looking into and fixed though - wheather permitting.

Agreed, I will be ordering the part soon. FCP has an ATE booster for $229, which doesn't seem so bad. Anywhere else I should look at? (I mean both for price and relating to the problem!)
On the ride home I could hear it hissing occasionally even if I hadn't touched the brake pedal for some time... and then it completely stopped doing it. This car is possessed!

So, an update of sorts...
I have put around 400 miles on the car since the incident it had with my wife. The only thing I have noticed regarding the loss of power is once in a great while I will feel a split-second loss of power. The loss is so fast that I couldn't even look down at the gauges fast enough to see if they were doing anything funky. NO CEL or any other associated messages. Any ideas what could do that?
ETM? Coil pack? Something in fuel delivery? It is really so quick its almost not noticeable, but it IS there...
