Congrats on the new vehicle. Minor detail, but there is no T5 XC90. They are simply 2.5T's.
The drain for the sunroof often gets clogged, casuing them to "leak. I think there might be a fix\guide in the repair database. The drains run somewhere around/near the A Pillars.
'04 XC90 2.5T AWD (Angus) 134K.
'99 S80 T6 (Medusa) 214k. On borrowed time LOL
'98 V70 T5 (Vivienne). RIP @ 228K. Spun rod bearings.

You seem like the type who is a natural at solving car problems, brand aside. Thanks for being a member.
Thank you. I try to solve automotive issues and fix things when I can. There are just some things I refuse to even begin digging into. I have friends I go to if/when that occurs.

Correct. Thank you for that link! It's much more informative than the YouTube video I found showing the repair.

I'm hoping a local locksmith might be able to do cutting and programming, since I'd really like to have a second key/remote. I'll have to check around.

Thank you for the info and links. I'll have to check them out soon.

I did find a link that briefly touched on the subject of the stereo backlights, but the link to the Radio Shack bulbs was outdated, so I'll have to dig into it when I install the GROM to see what the bulbs are like. I'll take one to Radio Shack to see what I can come up with. I'll post the Radio Shack bulb number if/when I'm able to get a close match.

Noted. The reference to the T5 was more or less a note that it's not the T6. ;)

I did find some helpful videos and DIY threads covering the topic, and I got to see where things are when the dealer's mechanic had it torn apart. It looks pretty simple and straightforward.
