To start, I would keep my foot out of it until the PCV is serviced. Driving WOT is a sure formula for a blown oil seal when the PCV is clogged.

After that you need to install a boost gauge so you can see what is going on with your turbo system.

Remove vacuum hoses and put caps on vacuum tree.Maybe you have some vacuum leaks.

These aren't super quick off the line - It's a heavy car.
Torque is low on the bottom end, but they fly on the freeway.
Dumb question, but are you running it in "Sport"?

The TCV on these fail slowly over time and reduce boost and torque. Also check all the vacuum and pressure pipes to it as they get brittle. +1 on the PCV. Not doing this gets expensive really quickly if the RMS fails!

The HPT are slow off the line but should be powerful beyond 2500rpm. Get the boost gauge installed as rspi mentioned and check to make sure you are getting +10psi on 91 octane.
You can give your waste gate rod 1 turn to provide more low end quite safely

I believe the ECU will also inhibit boost if you don't have everything right....good vacuum, good gas, etc.

I replaced my TCV with a new one and had to buy new tires soon after.

Of course,that's a 5 speed.....

Did the TCV increase the peak boost or just react quicker? Did you use OEM?

I did buy OEM from One of the vendors here.

I didn't quantify it but I had a big noticeable betterkick at 2500 rpm, where HPT kicks in
