Hi there!
This is old thread, but i hope someone is still reading this!
I installed Sacer in my V70´s throttle housing. Installation went well, i got voltages allmost spot on and car runs great. BUT, it´s still gives me ETS light and fault code P1053 on my general code reader. Is this code meaning that throttle housing is busted (car still runs great) or does this code mean theres some other fault in the car? I´m a bit hesitant to taking car to a dealer service since it´s most likely going to get really expensive in there.
All advice and ideas are very wellcome and i´m willing to try/test anything thats not going to harm the car!

Read car with Vida/Dice. It could be anything including BPPS (brake pedal sensor) or other minor issue. Does cruise control still work?

Unfortunately i don´t have access to Vida/Dice. I understand that Vida/dice only runs on Win7 computer witch i don´t have, so no point getting Vida/Dice either. If there´s a way to get it to work(reasonably easy) on Win8.1 i would be more than happy to get it to myself!precopster wrote:Read car with Vida/Dice. I read about brake pedal sensor possibility. Would that be expensive part to try and replace and how usual fault is it?
I went to check and cruise control works as normal.
According to on board computer the gas milage is normal as well.
Today when i started cold engine i think it might of run littlebit rough until engine temparature got up a bit. Could of been myself listening the car too closely allso??
Would it hurt the car if it gets driven with ETS light on?

Vida will also install on Win XP OR on Win 8 or 8.1 by using VM Ware image files available here on MVS.
BPPS is possible but not a nagging problem (you could be exception to that of course).
Other possibility is a green status fault (on Vida) of ETM meaning a value of sensor 1 or 2 is JUST outside of parameters

I took a look over the S70 forum and Don's ETM Room but I couldn't find any similar to the problem I'm having and I wonder if someone would be able to throw some light upon the question.
I have an 99 S70 and I had the ETS light on (Code: P1027 - ECM-9150 - TPS Faulty signal) for the last few weeks, I didn't have any limp mode or acceleration restriction but checking the other posts it seemed to be just the beginning of the problem. So I decided to try the Sacer TPS replacement and yesterday I was able to perform the replacement.
I followed all the steps appointed on Yehuda's post about this and checked very carefully to not harm any other components and make it as clean as possible. After replacing and testing the voltage to match the original one (1.342V), I installed without doing the epoxy and top cover seal and it ran just fine (better than was running for the last weeks). So I got back home and sealed everything and installed again this morning. This time I got a really high idle for a few seconds, then the car goes to 1000 RPM and starts shuddering and don't go over 25 mph. I checked the air intake, hoses and wires and it's fine.
I got the following codes after this behavior:
P1021
P1032
P1620
P1026
I don't have access to another code reader right now, so I wonder if anyone knows what would these codes refer to or have been in a similar position. I appreciate all the work that have been done on MVS and I hope to be able to solve this matter.

ECM-9150 & ECM-9160 should translate directly to P0120 and P0121.
I only get a match on http://www.equus.com for P1620 as being a low speed cooling fan issue.
All the others don't translate to Volvo faults. What sort of code reader are you using?

I'm using a Innova 3150d (also tried a Maxi Scan and got the same codes).
It says that it's a Volvo specific code so it doesn't give a description.

There is no doubt that they are throttle codes as many code readers don't translate them directly.
You can remove the ETM and apply power 12V to thick green and brown (negative) so you can probe the sensors through the putty. See if you're still getting approximately 1.3 volts on both sides. The voltage matching is not as critical as we first suspected on these, though in general the board will not accept under 1.25V and over 1.7 volts.
There is a built-self test where it will click the flap back twice in quick succession if the voltage is out of range.
You can remove the ETM and apply power 12V to thick green and brown (negative) so you can probe the sensors through the putty. See if you're still getting approximately 1.3 volts on both sides.
