One of the sockets for the license plate bulbs in my tailgate has broken and will not hold a bulb. It seems as though the clips that hold the bulb have broken off inside the socket. I am trying to find a part number for the socket, or for the whole harness if necessary, but I am not having much luck. Anyone know the number? I want to try to get this cleared up before I get pulled over!

Hey!

Check out page 341 of this catalogue: http://www.skandix.de/en/download/catal ... 9c42337666

Says "License plate light, black" p/n 1027991. May be a Scandix part no. though, since I don't recognize the format.

2018 S90 T8 Inscription - glossy black with amber interior and dark as night rear windows.
[Gone] '96 855 T5 - R bumper and spoiler, Koni Yellows & blue H&R springs all 'round.
[Sold] '97 S70 T5
[Gone] '95 855 T5-R - one of the black ones... sadly stolen and wrecked.

Yeah, without a picture or a better description, I don't know what that is. I don't have any junk yards near me, so I am at the mercy of finding one on the internet.

Actually, I may have just found a solution. Looks like a socket from a Mustang will fit, I may just have to figure out how to mount the socket. For $7 shipped I can get one with a wiring pig tail.

Well, seeing as the next items are the seal and the lens, I'd say that's the part you need.

I can check the one on my parts car and see the condition, if you are interested in keeping OEM?

I could care less about OEM for this. I just want it to work! Thanks!

I think that is the lamp assembly for a sedan. The wagon version uses a different style socket. It is a blade style, not a festoon bulb.

I misread your message! What I meant to say was if you have the socket, that would be great. If it is not OEM, that is fine too, as long as it works.

Sorry for the confusion.
