Hi
I had an engine shampoo done recently and right afterwards, the car was running very rough especially at idle and the check engine light came on.
I've ad 3 coils replaced (per misfiring codes) and the car now idles well but seems a bit rough still while driving. The check engine light has not come back on.
The car has 165,000 kilometres. And I've been advised that new spark plugs may solve the issue - however - I've also been told that the spark plugs would not have been affected during the engine cleaning. The sparks plus were last replaced at 97,000 kilometers.
Any ideas.

As above ^^ 70, 000kms is a ridiculous amount of mileage on plugs unless they're platinum.
Down in the spark plug wells the ignition coil rubber boots will have moisture on them. This is where the misfires are occurring after an engine steam clean or pressure wash.
Blow the area out with compressed air if handy or just rags and remove the rubber boots from each coil pack and dry thoroughly.

As above, there might have been humidity trapped inside the plugs hole. Remov and inspect the plugs, let dry the ignition coils, disconnect and dry the coils electrical connectors.
