LOAD LIMITS of the 2004 XC70 roof rails

I want to mount a large (180 cm x 110 cm) roof rack on my 2004 model XC70 for a long overland trip in Africa. Does anyone know the LOAD LIMITS of the ROOF RAILS on the XC70, or where I can get such information? I need to know how much I can safely carry up there.

It should be in your owner's manual, in the Specifications - dimensions and weights.

100kg or 220lbs is quoted for US/Canada vehicles. I would think it will be the same worldwide.

Doesn't gravity weigh less at the equator?

I didn't know that.

The apple always seems to hit me with the same force no matter where I am. Must admit I haven't been to the equator.

I was kidding

. They launch rockets from as close to the equator as possible, because it requires less fuel. But I don't think that has to do with gravity being weaker; it's something else entirely.
