Hi guys,
I suddenly have a major fuel leak that appears to be coming from my fuel pressure damper. Is there any quick and dirty fixes to stop this leak/can I just plug the hole for the fuel pressure damper without adverse effects ? I need the car ASAP so I can't wait the several days for parts to come in.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

On the '98 with a damper rather than a regulator I think you can just plug the hole. I wouldn't do it long term but it should work in a pinch. Just confirm that this is the damper with no vacuum line run to it. Bad things might happen if it has a fuel pressure regulator on the rail and that got blocked off but the FPR has a vacuum line while the damper does not.

Thanks Ozark, It was just the damper and not the regulator. I got very very lucky and managed to find a good damper at a nearby scrapyard. So no need to plug the hole. Good to know if it goes in the future I should be able to plug it though.
