Your problem fits exactly the scenario seen with pin fretting. Use a jeweler's screw driver or small pick and close the females in the plug for the MAF. a bad MAF doesn't take days to fail again but unplugging and plugging in the MAF will temporarily make the connections better.
That's not a bad idea. I ordered it but luckily they can take it back if it does in fact cure it. I will try over the weekend. Even when I did the tsb the connector seemed like it had enough play where that is possible.
Update. Going on 5 days since the new MAF and no light. Runs better as well. I didn't mess with the connector leads as I wanted to go through a process of elimination so keeping hopes up the MAF was the culprit.

You need a scan tool with a flow reader to test a mAF for operation.

Agree. No light, no stumbling, you have nailed it with the new MAF
These cars are sensitive and there are very few things that will go wrong without a CEL

Well that was an enjoyable week. No light (yet) but just had a stumble at a traffic light when stopped. Guess I will wait for the light in case a new code comes up. Man after a week I would have thought that was it. I have to be in the right area though as the more I messed with the MAF including replacing it the car always improved.

Read jimmy57's note, he is a master of this stuff. A brief fix-it interval points to the pins, not (or in addition to) the MAF itself. I would next try closing up the female end of the plug.

I will do that today. Like I said I didn't want to do everything at once as I like to have the process of elimination so I can pinpoint what was the ultimate fix.
I would agree that I am in the right area as if it was something not related to the MAF the light would have come back sooner than a week.
Just by visual when I replaced the MAF I did look at the female end and none looked out of the ordinary but this could be such a small detail eyes cannot see. If this doesn't fix it I guess I should replace the whole connector as the next step then.
Ok I will update again eventually. Thanks again everyone.
