Fuel Door Fell Off

Had that problem, too! I ended up replacing the solenoid with the plastic rod that secures the door.

Open the fuel door. You'll see two screws by the slot for the perforated tab on the fuel door. Inside the rear compartment, pull off the panel on the passenger side, reach in, you'll feel a small (2" x 3"or so) plastic box. It'll come loose as you remove the screws. It has a cable going into it on the end nearest the rear of the car. Remove it the box, take it to the dealer, ask for a new one and...well, you know.

Same happened to me. Went to the dealer to fix it: 25.72$ the hinge + 23.20$ labor (canadian). Didn't have the solenoid problem

my gas door fell off.....I got the part to replace it but have no idea where to go from here....don't want to mess it up.....can anyone help? That PDF file sounded like the trick....

same thing happened to me. I brought it to the shop. They replaced the hinge, $25.
