high idle solved

Post by A.Baker »

I found that the high idle was caused by the idle speed motor opening and closeing. The other problem was that the car was getting harder to start after a few min.s of runing. WELL there is a sensor for the ECM under the intake between #4 and 5.It controls the temp reading for the ECM that controles the idle speed motor. The part was 40.00$ from the dealer w/a copper seal (must have) and problem is solved. Now on to the turbo rebuild. :D

oops, i guess i logged out some time ago... but to clarify my question of where it is, is the sensor actually in the intake, or is it attached to the engine block somewhere?
