1998 V70 AWD parking brake cable- what brand?

Post by kahl »

I need to replace the parking brake cables on my daughter's V70. I have come across some big price differences between Volvo, Proparts Sweden and Dorman. Could some clue me in as to what is junk and what is an acceptable replacement?
thanks

I think there is a thread in the P2 forum about someone using aftermarket and having to machine couplings, extra parts, etc.

If you don't have weeks to sort this out, go OEM and cry once.

Volvo OEM 3546590 is $42.
Aftermarket stuff is $22.
The difference is not that much. Stick to OEM.
