Good day. Any opinions on the !998 to 2000 XC's. Problems and such. Good points, ride, reliabilty. I was looking at a 2001, but I've was told to stay away from that model year. Thanks in advance.

Good car it it's been kept up....it does have the faulty ETM (see Don's ETM section of this forum) but Volvo warrants it for 10 years or 200K miles.

If you don't have to have AWD, consider the 98 V70T5 I have for sale. 57K one owner miles and as new as they come.
Far less maintenance and far less potential for expensive AWD repairs as there are none 8) See post above this..
