95 - 850 for parts, RMS, slipping tranny, cracked manifold.

We decided rather than spending hours fixing it its better to offer it as a parts car, either in whole or i bits. The problems are, slipping gearbox ( auto) and I thinks its a clogged filter. RMS on account of pressure in the crankcase an cracked exhaust manifold. Its a 95 with about 210,000 kms. The interior is really nice and the body is good too,and the AC even works. We are in Burlington, On. and we'd like to get $1500.00 for it. I thought the folks on this forum with some time could get this car back on the road without too much trouble. Either that or I'll pull it apart.

Hey Jim.. im in woodstock not too far away from you .. and actually have a tranny which should fit and a manifold if you decide to rebuild.. give me a message anyway i might know a few who need the car.

Its worth a try. How much is involved in pulling the motor and does it come out the top or is it better to lift the body?

OK. I answered my own question. I downloaded the manual. It is fantastic.

I have taken a few motors out.. good weekend job and not really bad.. shame to see a volvo die for no reason!
