I am trying to get a handle on whether I need the vac hose that runs from the oil trap to the intake manifold in part 9471644 for my NA v70 1998 please let me know The posts I find are all for v70 turbo which mine is not.

If you go to the FCPGroton web site you can see all of the part numbers for you car's PCV system in their kit. It is a really handy resource to check part numbers. I did not see your part number 9471644 listed in their non turbo base model PCV kit.

most likely not. for the NA, you can substitute heater hose and normal vacuum line for that fitting.
