'05 & later xc70 cem removal

pulling the cem to send to xemodex. i've watched their tutorial on removal from an '07. i've come down thru the cowl and removed connector, screws, etc. i've got a couple of connector to remove from under the dash. i've got it loose in the metal bracket but it doesn't want to drop out. it almost seems as though it needs to index clockwise as it seems as though it is "cam locked" in the bracket. trying to index it seems to put a lot of force on it. any insight on how it is mechanically locked into the bracket?

You can't have a view of it but by feeling, try pushing on the left side (the one towards the door) of the metal bracket to distance it from the CEM. It should make a pop sound then the CEM will slide out of there.
