Now I have to figure out if I want to rebuild it or go with a different style. I wish the reviews were better for the IPD blank off plate and remote Compressor Bypass Valve. I'll probably just get the heavy duty one on IPD's web page.

Will this work with the blue spring or is it a waste of money
Why don't you just clean it up, replace whatever is necessary and see what happens since it's cheap enough/easy enough to just go back to swap it out if your not happy w/rebuilt CBV.
That would be fine if I could find a stock diaphram, I've been looking all morning. FCP,nope,Parts geek, nope, IPD,nope,IPD does have the heavy duty one though. Rockauto, nope.

I did fine this one on ebay but I'm alittle concerned as to the quantity of the parts.

You are right about that CBV diaphragm, I would only go with Mitsubishi or the IPD item. I would probably pick it up from G-Pop shop, they will have the Mitsu part or whatever they sell will be good, but you will have to wait a couple more days http://gpopshop.com/

You will want to pay attention to emissions differences between the two cars to avoid a CEL.
First off thanks for your response and confirmation that the factory rods/everything should be okay w/factory T5 tune. As far as the AWD I should be good right?
Yep, the AWD will not mind/notice the difference.

I recently installed the iPD TCV after i snapped my pierburg unit in half. I think you'll enjoy it. Word of advice: If you are going to use the silicone hose kit they market with it, I found it nearly impossible to secure the vacuum lines on the TCV side in situ. I ended up using a vice and moving them into position one by one, then screwing the barbs into the unit. Good Luck!

Very tight fit...hum...I didn't get the colored hoses but I do have all new silicone blue hoses for the car. I have to go to st. Louis for work so no progress will be made until Thursday.

Well,I've taken today and monday off in hopes I can get this car back together. My CBV ant TCV are going to be here today and I'm ready for them. The radiator is back together, the timing belt is back on the crank. Gaskets are scraped, I've got some of the new vacuum lines ran. I don't want to put anymore lines on until I can see were the new TCV will be mounted.
Over half of the time spent on this project has been waiting for parts I didn't know I would be replacing.

Well, I've made great progress today! The 15g turbo is in, the head is in and torqued to spec. I've been replacing the vacuum lines with blue silicone lines. I think it will be back together tomorrow, I hope.

Lookin good, thanks for the pics.

This would be a good time to get rid of the SAS system, air pump and all, did you consider that option? E.g. remove that SAS valve that is visible in the pic of turbo, you can go all the way back to where it screws into the downpipe and plug it with an oil pan drain plug or other bolt. It really clutters up the engine bay. It is super easy to use a diode to tell the ECU the SAS is still there, if you ever run the stock ECU.

using that "5mm Fuel line" as your turbo coolant outlet hose scares me a bit.
