I just threw away the trap. Yeah I noticed this morning that it messed with fuel:air something serious and burned through a good amount of gas in a short amount of time. I thought maybe it turned to lock in place, but the male part would not turn properly. I examined the male part and it did not seem to be broken in any way. I am assuming it was the female part of the housing. It was mainly due to the bigger hose (not the one I just replaced that is connected to the intake manifold nipple) not moving any.
I am also trying to find the actual housing part in case I have to replace it, but I can't seem to find it at Autozone or Advanced Auto... online at least.

The only way to replace that housing may be to replace the entire intake hose
