1997 850 front door check strap weld stuffed

1997 850 front door check strap weld stuffed

Hi
have 1997 850 wagon with front door check strap weld stuffed at A frame, making huge clunk on opening and closing.
Wondering if there is a fix for this.
Checked online and found some old posts on 'swedespeed' that were related to the problem , but out of date and displayed nothing.
any ideas welcome.

On the 98 V70 AWD the attach point on the door frame was FUBR. I had to go to a bone yard and cut out what I needed for the A pillar. Hope these pics help. Welded in what I needed. On YouTube tere are several vids on this problem.
