1995 850 - 940 hydra wheels.

Does anyone know if the 940 hydra 6.5 x 16" wheels will fit the Volvo 850? I think the 850 wheels have 43mm offset and the hydra wheels have 25mm. What difference will this make?

No, RWD wheels are designed with offset to center the forces relative to the mounting flange under driving conditions. The design centers the weight of the car relative to torque reaction/toe response of fwd/rwd cars. Also it places the outer lip farther from the flange and they would rub horrendously.

I dunno about the hydra wheels, but I got some off of a 960 on my 95 854 (they are 16 inch x 6 or 6,5 - I don´t know the width right now) and they fit perfectly. The offset is not a problem in my case. I run 205/50 R16 tires by the way.

The late 960 rims were fwd offset I know I tried to fit some on my 740
