It is hard to tell what you get as pictures are not real. chinese just take good pictures from internet. Usually item comes different than in add. If you read his negative feedbacks you see that he sends different models that he has in pictures.

After about 8 months or so of working relatively well, my Chinese, multi-colored DICE seems to have died. I'm looking around for a replacement.Has anyone had any experience with one of these? I'm afraid I'd get what I paid for.

I e-mailed the seller, and he said it wouldn't work with VIDA -- in case anyone was curious. Kind of makes one wonder why it has VIDA in the auction title.

Hi All,
I'm thinking of picking up a DICE unit in the near future. I've read through this thread, and found lots of examples of what not to get. Can someone steer me in the direction of a decent quality DICE unit, at a reasonable price? Thanks!

none. VIDA + DICE are working only for 1999+ model years.
If you have questions about Volvo firmware ask me. I may know an answer :)

I have 2014 A version. It won't read our 1997, but I can use it for part numbers and repair procedures.
MVS is better for a DIYer, even if VIDA is free.

Took a risk and bought one from aliexpress.
Arrived super fast only 7 days.
Installation no problems just plug and play, very clear instructions.
Board looks good quality. Tested on several volvos everything works as expected.

Link to seller if someone interested: https://goo.gl/Mi8zDe

Let you know if notice any issues.

The ad says it works on XP, but others offering the 2014D version usually specify Win7 - what version are you successfully running it on?

Thanks!
