Ah, I see what you mean. I didn't think of the CV boot though - I thought antifreeze, but you could easily be right. I guess antifreeze wouldn't stay green like that. :)

Thanks for the help and advice guys.
I guess I will just monitor the front engine mount for the time being.
Yes, it's true the CV boot split about two years ago and I replaced it with the Volvo boot kit and it's fine now. There is still some leftover grease in the area.
The waterpump didn't seem to be leaking when I removed it... I couldn't see any obvious signs of problems:
Original waterpump at 182k miles
Original waterpump at 182k miles
The timing belt replacement job went pretty well. The only hitch was at the end when I tried to install a new serpentine belt and I found that the belt was labeled Conti 6K1743 on the cardboard sleeve but stamped 6K1740 on the actual belt. The serpentine belt was the wrong belt in the right package! It was too short to fit, so I put the original belt back on for now until I can get the right size belt.
1997 855 GLT (Light Pressure Turbo) still going strong. Previous: 1986 240 GL rusted out in '06, 1985 Saab 900T rusted out in '95, 1975 Saab 99 rusted out in '95, 1973 Saab 99 rusted out in '94
