2000 S70 P1332

Post by calvolvo »

I have a 2000 AWD S70 and it lovingly  threw me a P1332 code yesterday and Auto Zone informed me it was a Variable Valve Timing Solenoid fault. A bad VVT Solenoid would help to explain the hard cold starts.... I'm 90% sure its the original and have elected to replace it when the part is shipped. In the meantime is it advisable to drive with this error floating around??

I did for about a year. I don't think it will cause a hard start though.

I've had that code come up in the past also, definitely doesn't cause a hard starting condition.

Being that you have an AWD car the known issue with hard starts on those is the check valve in the fuel pump. Many of us have also gone through that also.

Thanks for the replies its reassuring that I'll be able to drive around without an issue. I'll have to deal with the fuel pump another time. Also quick shout out to Matty Moo the rebuilt ABS in my S70 has been preforming great!
