Trans software update and adaptation cost ??

I was wondering for those of you that has had the trans software update and adaptation done what is the cost of all this ? I'm planning on having mine done soon so trying to get prepared for stealership cost

The software update needs the dealer I believe.
For anything else (adaptation, fluid reset) it's not worth going to the dealer. Local advertising sites surely have someone offering private service with Vida Dice for less than $50 and you can ask him many other things with the same occasion, such as read codes, change setups and so on.

Is it true that ANY service that you get done at the dealer that they update your software? Say maybe you get the cheapest possible service and they can update it, which may include the trans as well. Some dealers do oil changes I believe. I think there are even other services that are cheaper. If okay, I would appreciate if someone could verify this.

Dealers will charge you the labor rate on the book for software upgrades, I don't believe there is a free upgrade policy.

Well.. the transmission ended up going completely out so i ended up getting rid of the car.
