Tires

Post by HippyLongstocking »

Hey guys - new to the board, and I have a question. :)

I have a '93 850 GLT that I absolutely love. I just bought it a few months ago, and now I find myself needing tires.

Right now, we have 195/60/R15s on there, but is that the right size tire? Our mechanic looked at it and said that he didn't think that was "factory".

What do you guys think - do they normally have such low profile tires straight from factory? Is that what's best for my car?

And what other sizes could be used without compromising anything?

Thanks,
Gina

Inside the fuel door or owners' manual will have correct tire size. I could tell you my '97 size, but it's for a Turbo (wider) and it's a different year.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

1998 V70, no dash lights on

Thanks alot! I didn't think to look inside the fuel door. I thought it'd be on the label on the driver's side B pillar, but I didn't see anything there about tire size.

Thanks again. :)

195/60 r15s were a standard tire size on the 850 in Europe ( I know - I have one with that tyre size!).

In Europe the GLT was a 'spec' level, but I believe in US it may be the Turbo model (in Europe that is just referred to as the T5).

Hope this helps...
