My lambda light would periodically come on before and now its pretty much on solid all the time.
any idea what would cause this? is this an O2 sensor thing?
my code reader won't show me what codes its throwing

You need to get them read. What brand reader are you using?

That light can come on for dozens if not hundreds of reasons. No reason to suspect O2 sensors until you've had the codes read. If your scanner isn't working have them read at a shop or chain auto parts store. You'll want to write down the PXXX numbered code(s) and post them here.Bren wrote:

OK will do - I think I just assumed lambda had to do with O2 stuff - but doing some searching and just figured out its basically a CEL.
Thanks guys - I'll try and pull the codes and post them up!

Agreed. don't replace anything unless you get the codes read. My guess if the car is running fine is probably the j Hose for the evap system since that is probably one of the most common codes that come up.

It can be a transmission code as well as engine.
For this model a Vol-FCR cable and software running on laptop setup will work.

The "problem" with these cars is that they will run fine even when something is wrong. That's why getting to Stage 0 is so important before you start tuning because even serious problems often times don't manifest themselves in a noticeable way. If I remember correctly forum member Ozark Lee ran an 850 for a while with a disconnected coil to distributor wire without realizing it for some time.huzzsaba wrote:My guess if the car is running fine...
