01 V70XC - Service Security System

Hi all!
When starting my 2001 V70XC, the little information box reads service security system. I have no remote, so I think that may be it. The alarm horn is also disconnected, so when I try to open the door, the lamps flash until I use the key to unlock the car. I have had several problems with the car already, but it has never left me stranded, unless you count how it stalls after fill ups. I'm thinking of just buying the new Volvo V90 as my midlife crisis car and just keeping the V70 as a car to use when I have more than 4 guests. Thanks!

This error message is most like due to the siren control module being unplugged.
